The season

What each stage
gives back.

Every stage asks a few minutes of my time and returns something I can use: a traced parcel, a dated photo, a reading from space, an answer I can read, a harvest figure, a season to show.

    01PlanI mark my parcel and choose the crop.

    I trace the parcel once on the satellite map and the hectares are worked out for me. Durum wheat, irrigated, to be sown from mid-November: the season starts as a plan I can read.

    02EstablishSowing goes in with a photo.

    Date, seed and rate take a few taps, and the photo of the first rows sits beside them. The sowing date is settled before anyone needs to ask.

    03GrowI watch my own parcel from space.

    Each clear Sentinel-2 pass adds a greenness reading for my parcel, set against what is usual around me. A corner that lags shows up early enough to walk over and look.

    04ProtectAdvice comes back in my language.

    I photograph the spots on the lower leaves. The reply arrives in Darija, Arabic or French, right next to my photo. When I spray, the product and the dose are checked against the label before the treatment is logged.

    05HarvestThe quantity and the date, on record.

    Tonnes, grain moisture and the day I cut. When the cooperative weighs the grain, its ticket sits next to my own figure, so the two can be compared without a phone call.

    06Sell and reviewA season I can show.

    The season closes into one Crop Cycle Dossier: plan, sowing, treatments, harvest, sale. I keep the lessons for next year, and I can show the summary when I sell, borrow or insure.

Each one still decides on its own terms. What changes is where I start: from my season, not from a blank page.

Who sees
my record.

I choose who sees my record, and I see who looked. Every access carries a name, a purpose and an end date, and it stops the moment I switch it off.

  • Access by name and purpose.

    The cooperative’s field technician, the bank’s credit officer, a buyer: each appears with what they may open and until when.

  • A log of every look.

    When someone opens my record, the day, the hour and the part they opened are written in my log.

  • Off means off.

    When I switch access off, the next look is refused. What was already seen stays in the log, so the history stays honest.
