Advisory loop

From a pale patch
to a checked result.

One case followed end to end: client parcel 14, durum wheat at heading on the irrigated plain, seen through four Workspace screens.

The practice view ranks client parcels by what is at stake this week: a change in vigour, a sensitive crop stage, the days left before harvest and the time since your last visit. Parcel 14 comes first: its canopy paled on 5.8 ha in ten days, at heading.

The field technician walks the pale zone with Andika and counts ten plants. Beside the photos sits the parcel’s own history: sowing, nitrogen passes, the last irrigation turn. Water stress and nitrogen are ruled out. Stripe rust is confirmed on the upper leaves.

Before the recommendation leaves your desk, Codex checks each candidate product: registered for durum wheat, pre-harvest interval against the planned harvest, residue rules for the intended market. Fungicide A is blocked, because its 42-day interval runs past the 25 May harvest. Fungicide B is allowed. The rule version stays with the recommendation.

The field technician records the application in Andika on 17 April. On 30 April a follow-up count is taken on the same ten plants and set beside the first one. You record the outcome against the recommendation: no new pustules on the flag leaf, old lesions drying.

Options

Treat now, wait,
or look again?

Three answers an agronomist could defend for the same count. Each one moves the decision along the calendar, and the rules move with it.

  1. 01

    Treat now.

Fungicide B goes on within a day. Eight days of margin remain before its interval would clash with the harvest. The cost is one pass and the product; the aim is to protect the flag leaf through grain fill.

  2. 02

    Wait a week.

Nothing is spent now and the call moves to 23 April. The window for Fungicide B closes two days later, and the rust can reach the flag leaf in between. If it does, no allowed product is left before harvest.

  3. 03

    Observe again.

The field technician recounts the same ten plants on 19 April. The decision stays open with six days of margin, and the second count shows whether the patch is spreading or holding.

Field task

Advice that arrives
with its limits.

In Andika, your recommendation becomes the field technician’s task, in Arabic, Darija or French, with the dates and exclusions Codex worked out.

  • The last date is on the task.

25 April appears on the field technician’s screen, worked out from the product’s interval and the planned harvest.

  • The product set aside is named.

If Fungicide A sits in the farm store, the task says why it stays there this time.

  • Done means recorded.

The application is logged against your recommendation, so the follow-up count starts from what went on, where and when.
